Digital Marketing: A Quick and Easy Guide for Beginners

Guide for Beginners

Digital marketing is the use of digital tools to promote something, whether it's a product or service. This includes social media, video content, banner ads, search engine optimization (SEO), pay per click (PPC), email marketing and more. Digital marketing involves creating content that will help you grow your audience then using the following tools to promote your content. The goal is always to get people to take an action with whatever you are promoting. At its core digital marketing is about getting people interested in what you have created and making sure they are aware of it when they need or want it most. The effective branding and marketing of your product is essential if you want it to be successful. This is where digital marketing comes in, and the tools it uses such as social media, SEO and PPC can all be used to help with this. So why use digital marketing? Because the internet has become a part of everyone's lives whether they chose to acknowledge it or not. The most popular search engines have over 3 billion searches a day with people spending more than 5 hours a day on their phones! That's a lot of time being spent online!

So what have we learned so far? Digital marketing works because people are online every single day, looking for new things that they might enjoy or need at some point in time. Whether that's something cool for their phone or an article about something interesting they saw on Facebook- you're there trying to get them interested in what you have available by using these powerful tools which support your content creation efforts. You want them interested enough in your content that they will tell someone else about it who may also find value in what you've created. And when this happens, everything will go viral! But no worries if it doesn't happen right away. Content creation is a process, and it takes time to grow an audience. You need to know what works for you and what doesn't. There is a lot of information out there about digital marketing, but it can be confusing to understand all of the different tools that are available. I have found that the best way to learn about digital marketing is just jumping in and trying things out for yourself. As long as you have a plan with clear goals in mind, you will see results from your efforts!

Alright, so now we've learned some core concepts behind digital marketing! But where do we go from here? How do we take these ideas into practical application? That's where this post comes in! This post will tell you everything that I think a beginner should know about Digital Marketing, including topics such as SEO (search engine optimization), PPC (pay per click) advertising and social media strategies. I'm going to focus on the more general aspects of each topic rather than getting into specific specifics because there are too many variables at play when discussing specific strategies within each area depending on your business model or niche market/niche product/niche service (get it?). So let's get started with one of my favorite topics… SEO! Search Engine Optimization Explained The first thing most people think of when they hear "digital marketing" or "internet marketing" is search engines like Google or Bing. These search engines allow you to use keywords and descriptions to help search engines figure out what your content is about. They then display your content based on what people searched for most recently or based on an algorithm they have in place. Remember this, because it will be important later on when we discuss PPC advertising! Anyway, back to SEO. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of increasing the amount of visitors that click on your website when searching through a search engine like Google or Bing. If you are not familiar with SEO there are lots of free courses online that explain how it works, but here's some basic info about some of the terms used in SEO:

Keywords: These are words that people would type into a search engine if they were looking for something specific regarding your product or service.
