There are orangutans at the Singapore Zoo!
Instead of rigid cages that we will encounter, the animals are placed in an environment that resembles their natural habitat. For example, when heading to an area of animals that can be found on the Australian continent, such as kangaroos, koalas, and ostriches, we will be invited to walk through a door leading to an expanse of environment where the animals are released freely and you can walk around on the trail at in the enclosure environment. It's a unique experience that you may not find in other zoos.

You can find natural settings around the zoo environment which has an area oftens of hectares. There are also rides for children's play, a place to feed animals, and also a boat ride around the dam. In addition, you and your family can enjoy the facilities around the zoo by tram, if you are tired of walking. If night falls, you can also join the Night Safari which provides its own unique experience.
You can get around a 26-hectare zoo that houses more than 2,800 animals and represents more than 300 species. Popular animals in this zoo include Sumatran orangutans, Komodo dragons, sea lions, probosci’s monkeys or long-nosed monkeys, African penguins, the world's smallest monkeys, Asian elephants, cheetahs, and many others. The layout of the Singapore Zoo tourist park is very attractively designed with world-class standards, clean and free from mosquitoes so that it becomes a comfortable home for animals.

The dam with clear water further adds to the beauty of the Singapore Zoo. Even some animals are released so that visitors can get closer to animals, such as deer, butterflies, and bats. For visitors who are reluctant to walk through the animal camps one by one, the Singapore Zoo manager provides tram or bus transportation. This tram can drop and transport passengers at the shelters that are already available. When tired all over, visitors can rest for a while watching various animal shows.
Splash Safari, for example, is open every day at 10.30 am and 5 pm local time. This show showcases the sea lion's skill in throwing plates and the hilarious actions of these animals. There is also a show of a pack of dogs in the Animal Friends Show every day at 11 am and 4 pm local time. Elephants at Work and Play at 11.30 am and 3.30 pm local time daily and Rainforest Fights Back every day at 12.30 am and 2.30 pm. All of these shows involve visitors interacting with animals.
